The mission for KSVR has 3 major components:
1. To provide a variety of viewpoints not easily available in mainstream media, conveying information and news to the community that will help them to form decisions in their lives;
2. To provide access for students and community volunteers for training to produce radio programming that is meaningful to our audience;
3. To reach local populations which are served little by conventional media in our area. |
KSVR-FM is a non-commercial radio station licensed to the Board of Trustees of Skagit Valley College, funded with a combination of support from various sources: local business underwriters, revenue from several dances each year, an annual allocation from the Associated Students of S.V.C. and support from the Student Services of S.V.C., with staffing support from Day-Academic Department and Student Life Office.
